DXCC NEWS ---> "We continue to log DXCC applications that were postmarked on
or before 30 September 2002", Bill Moore, NC1L (DXCC Manager) reports. The
backup is heavy, so it may take some time to log all of the September mail
into the system. Keep checking the "List of DXCC Applications Received" at
http:www.arrl.org/awards/dxcc: if your application does not appear on this
page by 20 October, you can check with dxcc@arrl.org to determine the status
of your application.

PIRATE ---> QSL manager EA4AHK reports that TT8FC operates SSB, RTTY and PSK
only. Contacts made on CW are with a pirate, do not waste your time with him.
[TNX IZ3ETU]

QSL OH0Z ---> It looks like some of the QSL requests for OH0Z have gone to
the wrong address. Please note that OH5DX is a reissued call and that its
original owner cannot be reached anymore. The correct address for the current
OH5DX is Ari Korhonen, Kreetalank. 9A1, FIN 29200 Harjavalta, Finland. [TNX
OH1EH/OH5DX]

QSL UA0FDX ---> Paco, EA5OL apologies for the typo in his previous message
and states that the station for which he has the logs from 1995 to date is
UA0FDX (not UA9FDX as reported in 425DXN #596).

QSL Z32XX ---> Dragan reports that Mike, NN6C is no longer is QSL manager.
Cards should now be sent to Z32XX either direct (Dragan Davkovski, P.O. Box
15, 2000 Stip, Macedonia) or through the bureau.

QSL VIA UA4WHX ---> Vladimir, UA4WHX/AC4LN operated from a number of
countries in Central America and the Caribbean between 29 May and 2
September. Some 18,000 QSOs were made using the following callsigns (in
alphabetical order):
8P9/AC4LN AC4LN/HR2 J6/AC4LN
8P9BV AC4LN/J3 J73/AC4LN
8R1/AC4LN AC4LN/TI2 J8/AC4LN (from both NA-025 and NA-109)
9Y4/AC4LN H7/AC4LN TG4/AC4LN
AC4LN/6Y5 HI8/AC4LN TG4/UA4WHX
AC4LN/HH2 HP1/AC4LN V31BV
AC4LN/HR1 HP8/AC4LN YS1/AC4LN
Vladimir says that "all the operations are 100% legal and all the relevant
papers are available and can be presented to those interested". QSLs have
been ordered and are being printed. He will start answering the requests in
late October/early November. Cards should be sen to UA4WHX either direct
(Vladimir M. Bykov, P.O. Box 2040, 426000 Izhevsk, Russia) or through the
bureau. QSLs sent via AC4LN prior to 25 September have been collected and
will be answered. Mail coming via AC4LN direct/buro will be collected in
January 2003 and will also be answered. QSLs for Vladimir's other calls,
VK8VB and JT1FDC, are via UA4WHX as well.
